A portion of the Bacolod Reclamation Area will now serve as the official impounding site for the Bacolod Traffic and Transportation Management Department and the local police.
City Engineer’s Office head Engr. Loben Ceballos confirmed that final preparations at the site are expected to be completed within this month.
The city government has designated a 3,000-square-meter portion of its property at the Reclamation Area specifically for this purpose.
Ceballos added that a police detachment will also be placed beside the area, which he said will provide more security.
While the project faced initial delays due to debris and fallen trees from recent typhoons, the transition to the new location is moving forward to centralize traffic enforcement operations.*
