The City of Bacolod, through its Public Information Office, is all set for the celebration of the World Radio Day 2025 at the Green Gardens, Bacolod City today.
Together with partner institutions, including the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas-Negros Occidental Chapter, Philippine Information Agency – Region 6, Sangguniang Kabataan Bacolod City, Bacolod Entrepreneurs United, University of St. La Salle, University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, and the STI West Negros University, the city proudly presents the Kalantipan sa Kahanginan: The Broadcasting Excellence Awards 2025 wherein various radio programs and personalities will be recognized during this prestigious occasion.
According to a press release, the award categories include: Best Radio Variety Program for AM; Best Radio Variety Program for FM; Best Radio Public Service Program; Best Radio News Program; Best Radio Drama Program; Best Radio Variety Program Host for AM; Best Radio Variety Program Host for FM; Best Public Service Program Host;
Best Radio Newscaster; Best Radio Variety Program Host; Best Radio (MOJO) Mobile Journalist – Male; Best Radio (MOJO) Mobile Journalist – Female; Young People’s Choice Awards for AM Station; Young People’s Choice Awards for FM Station; Philippine Information Agency – Region 6 (PIA) Special Citation for the Station with the Best DevComm Program; and Icon of Radio.
This year’s celebration aims to highlight the vital role of radio in communication and the society, while recognizing the excellence of radio professionals in the city.*
