The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod congratulated and commended Georgia Francesca Carmina Tan for winning three medals at the 18th Singapore Open Artistic Swimming Championships at the Singapore Aquatic Center from November 22 to 24.
The resolution authored by Councilor Em Ang said the Sangguniang Panlungsod values the achievement of every Bacolodnon around the world.
Over 20 teams from different countries participated in the 18th Singapore Open Artistic Swimming Championships, held at the Singapore aquatic center from November 22 to 24, 2024, it said.
Georgia Francesca Carmina Tan won 1 gold and bronze in the solo free and solo tech group D open-seniors’ category and 1 silver in the solo tech group C 15 to 19 years old juniors’ category, the resolution said.
Tan, 16 years old, whose family resides in Barangay 7, was born and raised in Bacolod City but is currently training in California, USA, it said.
This achievement of Carmina is an inspiration to young and aspiring athletes of Bacolod City. The people of Bacolod is in solidarity with Carmina and her family in celebrating her outstanding achievement, the resolution added.*
