The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod yesterday approved a unanimous resolution congratulating Kate Marie Buencochillo for placing second in the October 2022 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.
The resolution authored by Councilor Em Ang said Kate Marie Buencochillo, a 22-year-old resident of Villa Angela Subd., Brgy, Villamonte, Bacolod City, brought honor and prestige to the city by passing the October 2022 CPA Licensure Examination with a rating of 90.67 percent and placing second among 6,665 examinees.
Buencochillo graduated summa cum laude in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of St. La Salle. She has undoubtedly made a mark through her exemplary scholastic record and outstanding achievement, drive, determination and faith in God, and that these attributes are worthy of emulation and serve as an inspiration for young people to aspire for excellence in their chosen field of endeavor, it said.
The SP joins the whole city in congratulating Buencochillo, who made Bacolodnons proud of her outstanding performance in the October 2022 CPA Licensure Examination, the resolution added.
The SP also approved another unanimous resolution congratulating the victory of Bacoleña Athena Tashcuh Sonota under the junior category of the Japan Mountain Bike Cup on October 28 to 30.
Meanwhile, the SP also approved a resolution granting the request of G-5 Online Sports, Inc. for the renewal of their Resolution of No Objection (RONO) for the establishment of the operation of electronic gaming and sports betting station in Brgy. 39, Bacolod City.*
