An ordinance appropriating P130 million accumulated budget for Bacolod City for various purposes has been approved by the city council.
Councilor Cindy Rojas, Committee on Finance and Appropriations said the surplus budget is under the general fund of last year and of previous years.
Of the P130-million, P110 million is allotted for general services that also includes the salaries for job order casuals employed in different departments of the city government, Rojas said.
But this does not include the job order casuals assigned at the city health office, she said.
Rojas clarified that the appropriated budget is for the salaries of the J.O’s from October last year until December this year.
The city government also set-aside P15-million for the electricity expenses of Bacolod, while the remaining portion of the amount is intended for the city’s operating expenses and the gasoline allowance of the Bacolod City Police Office, among others.
