A resolution requesting the Bacolod City Treasury to release the full month salary for April 2026 of employees and officials of Bacolod City on or before April 15, on reasons that the Department of Trade and Industry has allowed local manufacturers and retailers of essential commodities to increase their price tags on April 16, was approved by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod yesterday.
Authored by Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr., the resolution said the Department of Trade and Industry issued a statement that manufacturers and retailers have pledged not to increase prices of selected basic and prime commodities before April 16.
The early release of the salary for April 2026 will give an opportunity to our employees and officials to procure essential commodities at a lower price, it said.*
