Mayor Greg Gasataya said on Friday that the establishment of a digital mobile learning center will be one of the top priorities for Bacolod City in 2026.
During his State of the Children’s Address, the mayor emphasized that this initiative aims to bring modern educational resources directly to the city’s most remote barangays.
“Not all barangays have access to similar programs. Hopefully by the first quarter we are able to come up with this,” Gasataya said.
The project will be in coordination with the Department of Education.
In addition, Gasataya announced that the Bacolod City government has been awarded the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance, a prestigious recognition from the Council for the Welfare of Children.
“This recognition reflects our city’s outstanding performance in the child friendly local governance audit,” the mayor said.*
