The Bacolod City government has issued a reminder to all business owners to finalize their permits before the Business One Stop Shop concludes on March 31.
City Administrator Atty. Mark Steven Mayo said that immediate processing is essential to avoid penalties, noting that the city will conduct strict inspections and monitoring once the deadline passes.
“Monitoring will continue, strictly, after the BOSS period, at which point we will no longer show leniency toward business establishments, having already provided opportunity and ample time for compliance,” Mayo said.
The directive follows a citywide inspection drive that began last week where a multi-agency task force evaluated 19 establishments including nightclubs, restobars, bars, massage clinics, and spa establishments.
The inspection team includes Bacolod City Police Office, Department of Social Services and Development, City Health Office, Permits and Licensing Office, City Legal Office, and the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The operation covered key areas such as the Goldenfields Commercial Complex, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Barangay Mansilingan, and Burgos and Mabini Streets.
It aims to ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, as well as to check and monitor if there are minors who need to be rescued.
The team advised business owners with noted deficiencies to report to the Bacolod City Government Center to rectify their paperwork.*
