The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bacolod facilitated the turnover of office equipment worth P1,963,450 to the Bacolod City Government yesterday.
The procurement was funded through the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Incentive Fund, a reward for the city’s excellence in local administration.
Under the project titled ‘Tourism Promotion and Information Drive,’ the initiative aims to strengthen digitalization and the promotion of local tourism programs.
Mayor Greg Gasataya confirmed that the 2024 SGLG incentive fund was utilized to acquire equipment dedicated to strengthening the city’s tourism promotion and information campaigns.
He said that the award reflects a commitment to transparent governance, intended to improve service delivery and foster regional development for the benefit of all Bacolodnons.
The city utilized the bulk of its P2,000,000 incentive, while the remaining balance of P36,550 was returned to the DILG.*
