Upon assuming leadership of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), PCol. Eugene Rebadomia pledged to sustain the intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign established by his predecessor.
Rebadomia, who officially succeeded PCol. Joeresty Coronica yesterday, emphasized his commitment to building upon the successful achievements of the outgoing director.
He pledged to extend the PNP’s reach to every barangay in Bacolod and vowed to sustain the flagship projects and anti-crime initiatives established by Coronica.
Prior to this appointment, Rebadomia served as the force commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 8, where he led joint operations with the Philippine Army and local government units in Leyte.
He also previously held the position of chief of the Regional Operations Division for Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR).
Coronica will now transition to his new assignment as the chief of the Regional Operations Division of PRO-NIR.
Mayor Greg Gasataya, who endorsed Rebadomia, shares a connection with both Rebadomia and Coronica as all three are homegrown residents of Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
Meanwhile, PRO-NIR Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay urged the new city director to lead with integrity, uphold discipline, care for personnel, and strengthen coordination with the city government and other stakeholders.
“Let this transition remind us that while leadership changes, our mission remains the same: to serve the people, uphold the rule of law,” Ibay said.*
