Jeremy Coo led his team with 14 points, along with player of the game honors, despite not being able to score in the 2nd half as Badak X-Treme defeated PHI-R, 103-79. Alton Muyco followed him up with 12 points, while James Garrucho added 11 points.
It started as a competitive contest, as the teams traded buckets throughout the first quarter that ended with a score of 21-20. However, Badak steadily built up a lead in the second frame, entering halftime up by nineteen points. They continued dominating in the third quarter, winning the frame and holding a 35-point lead as the game went into the final 10 minutes.
Badak rendered a balanced effort on both ends of the court in the final quarter and sped their way to victory. Mickey Bernabe paced PHI-R with 22 points, followed by Mark Ligan with 10.
The other game between Ultra 3 and Omikron CT started with the latter holding the lead for the first two quarters, outscoring Ultra 3, 22-15 and 24-21, respectively, to lead by 10 points at the half, 46-36.
However, the Ultra came out with a different attitude in the second half as they turned the tide, outscoring Omikron in the last 2 quarters to emerge victorious in the end with a final score of 94-84.
Harvey Eslawa led Ultra 3, accruing 13 points, while Christopher Tedosio added 12 and player of the game honors, as Matthew Tan and Kelvin Gatoc also totaled 12 points apiece. Michael Deocadiz amassed 16 points for Omikron CT, while Mark Jalapa collected 14 while Nike Montalvo had 13.*
