The joint team from the Department of Energy and Department of Science and Technology Central Offices rated the Bago City Hall compound an overall score of 99, rating of 5 stars and Grade of “A” in their Spot Check Energy Audit on July 7.
The audit team was led by Dr. Ronaldo Parreño Jr., with Engr. Federico Del Pozo Jr., Engr. Divine Rhea Ceruma, Gelly Ann Zamora, Chammer Jake Plaza and Glady Reyes as members.
Bago City was able to successfully garner perfect scores in the 19 out of 20 item criteria set by the DOE and DOST. According to the audit team, the rating they gave to the city was the highest rating so far in Visayas.
The energy audit is part of the implementation of RA 11285 or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act of the national government.
Mayor Nicholas Yulo was elated with the performance of the city government in this audit report, noting that the campaign of the city on energy conservation in all its departments and offices was a success.
He congratulated the Office of the City Engineer for their efforts in electricity conservation and the General Services Office on fuel conservation.*
