The Bago City and Valladolid Police Stations in Negros Occidental topped the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating for the months of January and February this year in the city and municipal police station categories, respectively.
PLt. Col. Joem Malong, police chief of Bago City, and PMaj. Wilfredo Benoman, Valladolid police chief, yesterday received the awards from PCol. Leo Pamittan, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, during the recognition rites following the traditional flag raising ceremony held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.
PLt. Abegael Donasco, deputy spokesperson of NOCPPO, disclosed that the two top performer police stations exhibited a good performance in their anti-illegal drugs and anti-crime programs, and were the top performers in arresting wanted individuals.
For the month of January, Silay City Police Station ranked second in the UPER, with Talisay City ranked third. In the same period, Pulupandan and Pontevedra Police Station also ranked second and third, respectively, in the municipal police station category.
For the month of February, Talisay City Police station ranked second, with Victorias City Police Station trailing behind in the city police station category. Pontevedra and Toboso Police Stations ranked second and third, respectively, in the same period, for the municipal police station category.
All over Western Visayas, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office bested five other provincial police offices and two city police offices in the UPER for the month of March.*
