Bago earns 102% peace and order rating

The City Government of Bago garnered a perfect and highest rating in the recently concluded 2021 Peace and Order Council (POC) Performance Audit of the Department of Interior and Local Government.  

According to the performance audit report signed by DILG Provincial Director Roselyn Quintana, the POC Assessment Team award the city of Bago a 102 percent rating in recognition of its programs in ensuring peace and order in the community.

Bago City got a perfect score in the five pillars of the said audit: Organization, Meetings, Policies, Plan and Budget, Reports, and General Supervision. Furthermore, Bago received additional points for the presence of an innovation related to peace and order and public safety.

“We would like to thank the Department of Interior and Local Government and the Provincial Peace and Order Audit Team for the perfect and high-performance rating given to us,” Bago Mayor Nicholas Yulo said.

“This will continuously serve as our inspiration to sustain our excellent performance in the pursuit of a peaceful, orderly, and safe community to live and do business for the people of Bago,” he added. The provincial assessment team complimented the creation of various special committees and the timely submission of reports of the city. In addition, they also gave recognition to the best practice of Bago which is the strengthening of the implementation of Barangay Drug Clearing Program through incentivization and rewards.

Also issued was the result of the 2019 Performance Audit where the city was given a high functional rating of 97 percent by the Provincial Assessment Team.*
