Members of the PTA, school office, teaching personnel and staffs of the Maria Locsin Araneta Elementary School in Bago City headed by Noli Lachuca, Jiff Mark Lavilles, and Raymund Sarad, together with some volunteer residents of Brgy. Busay, held its regular second Saturday area mass at the school covered court inside the school campus.

This was followed by the blessing of the classrooms and other important areas in the school by Rev. Fr. Chad Gayares, to ensure not only the physical cleaning and cleansing of the facilities but also its spiritual aspect, for the benefit of the incoming students for the school year 2022 – 2023, a press release from Sandy Solinap, partner-stakeholder, said.

The school was used as quarantine facility during the pandemic for almost two years.

The blessing and cleansing is an important religious activity observed by Catholics to ensure a healthy and safe learning environment for Filipino youth, it added.*
