With their intention to enhance police capacity, the Bago Component City Police Station officially inaugurated their new and improved PNP Standard Building situated inside their headquarters on Monday at Barangay Lag-asan.
Several key officials delivered words of support and commitment, emphasizing the significance of improved infrastructure in enhancing police services in the city.
Mayor Marina Javellana-Yao attended the event as she emphasized the deep value of police service, stating, “Behind every patrol, every rescue, every enforcement operation, there is a human heart willing to endure risks so that others may live in peace.”
The mayor added, “The city government stands firmly beside our police force, committed to supporting and equipping them for a safer, stronger Bago City,” as she reaffirmed the city’s commitment to support local law enforcement.
The ceremony was highlighted with the turnover of the symbolic key, the ribbon cutting, and the unveiling of the building marker, which indicated that the station’s enhancement was made possible through the help of local government and the community.
The blessing of the brand new facility was officiated by Rev. Fr. Alexander R. Repaso, Parish Priest of Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR).
Present also in the said ceremony were the high-ranking PNP officials led by PCol. Lito Patay, who represented the regional police on behalf of PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay and various government officials and their representatives.*
