The Bago City Girls Junior Softball team, representing the Asia Pacific Region, snatched two consecutive wins on the first day of the ongoing 2023 Junior League Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington, USA.
The soft belles from Ramon Torres National High School in Bago City, Negros Occidental, defeated the Florida (Southeast District) with score of 4-1, and host state Washington (District 9), with a score of 19-0, on July 30.
In 2022, the team secured a third place finish in the Junior League Softball World Series, also representing Asia Pacific Region.
Josie Sibunga, the head coach of Bago City soft belles, earlier said that they will use their experience from 2022 world series, and improve in areas that are needed, to have a stronger comeback in this year competition, a press statement from the Bago City Public Information Office said.*
