Barangay Bago, bested six other contingents and was hailed as over-all champion in Kali-Kalihan Harvest Festival 2025 street dance and cultural presentation in Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental on February 9.
This is the first time in the festival’s history for the Barangay Bago contingent to capture the championship title, both in the street dance and Kali cultural presentation. It took home the championship trophy and P50,000 in cash prize. It also received several special awards including Most Disciplined, Best in Concept, Best in Choreography, Best in Street Dance, and Best in Banner as 1st place.
Barangay Pinowayan won second place and received a runners-up trophy and P40,000 in cash prize. Barangay Bagong Silang was third place and received a trophy and P30,000 in cash prize. It also won the special award in Best in Banner as it landed second place. Barangay Pandanon won fourth place and also received the Best in Costume award. Barangay Bunga won fifth place and was also awarded Best in Banner for winning third place, and Barangays Igmaya-an and Kumaliskis won sixth and seventh place, respectively.


Present during the event were Crisanta Marlene P. Rodriguez – Regional Director of the Department of Tourism Region VI – Western Visayas, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Mayor Marxlen dela Cruz, Vice Mayor Nehemiah Joe dela Cruz, former Mayor Cynthia dela Cruz, and municipal councilors and Barangay officials.
The event was among the highlights of the 32nd Kali-Kalihan Harvest Festival and 42nd Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto.*
