The Trinity Christian Fellowship, in partnership with the Bacolod City Government and the Office of Councilor Israel Salanga, hosted a “Basic Counselling Session” with Dr. Bill Kirwan, who specializes in clinical counselling practice, at the Chamber Building in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, Tuesday.

Kirwan is a professor in various universities and serves as director of Doctoral Counselling program with AGST Philippines.

With over 40 years of clinical counselling, Kirwan is keenly interested in helping people who struggle with such issues as negative early attachments, trauma, abuse, neglect, and the resulting sense of crippling shame.

The session was held in line with a resolution authored by Salanga calling for the establishment of a depression hotline number in Bacolod City, where people could contact and immediately report cases of depression.*
