All offices at the Bacolod City Government Center closed at about 4.p.m. yesterday after Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia ordered the disinfection of the whole facility, City Administrator Edward Joseph Cuansing said yesterday.
Cuansing said three city employees from different offices have tested positive for COVID-19 while he also received information that there were some employees who were showing flu-like symptoms like colds or cough which could probably be due to the weather.
Those who were not feeling well were asked to rest until they got better before reporting back to work. But contact tracing is being conducted on close contacts of employees who tested positive for COVID-19, he said, adding that they will be made to undergo swab test.
Cuansing said disinfection of the government center is being regularly done especially in the lobby, elevator and offices frequented by people. But the mayor has ordered the disinfection of the whole government center because three employees tested positive for COVID-19.*
