BCPO anti-drug ops collects P605K in shabu

The Bacolod City Police Office conducted four consecutive anti-drug operations on Friday evening, resulting in the confiscation of over half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu.

The operations led to the arrest of five drug personalities: one high-value individual (HVI) and four street-level individuals (SLI).

In total, police operatives seized approximately 89.1 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P605,880.

The most significant operation occurred at 11:22 p.m. in Purok Magtiayon, Barangay 10, where alias ‘Joey’, 43, the identified HVI, along with two SLIs, alias ‘Roberto,’ 25, and alias ‘Cheldan,’ 18 were arrested.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit recovered the bulk of approximately 75 grams of suspected shabu valued at P510,000.

Earlier that same evening, three separate buy-bust operations netted three other suspects across the city.

At 9:20 p.m. Police Station 5 arrested alias ‘Conrad,’ 44, in Patricia Homes Subdivision, Barangay Granada, confiscating around 5 grams of suspected shabu valued at P34,000.

At 7:33 p.m., Police Station 3 arrested alias ‘Gabriel,’ 28, in Purok Langis, Barangay Banago, seizing approximately 5.1 grams of shabu valued at P34,680.

The earliest operation occurred at 7:12 p.m. in Purok Fortune B, Barangay Estefania, where Police Station 4, arrested alias ‘Rene,’ 58, and confiscated approximately 4 grams of suspected shabu valued at P27,200.

All confiscated illegal items have been transferred to the BCPO Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.

The five arrested suspects are facing criminal charges for violation of Sections 5, 11, and 26 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).*
