The Police Regional Office yesterday sent 863 more police personnel to Bacolod City, to augment the city police force manpower in securing the remaining days of 43rd MassKara Festival, which will cap on October 23 with the MassKara Dance parade arena competition at the Paglaum Sports Complex in Bacolod City.

More than 2,500 security personnel, including from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire and Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, various rescue units and force multipliers are securing the MassKara Festival, according to BCPO deputy spokesperson, PLt. Liberty Indiape.

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos is arriving on Oct. 23, as a guest of honor in various MassKara charity and civic events, including the Masskarade Ball, a tree-planting activity at the Megaworld’s The Upper East township, and to witness the MassKara arena dance competition.

Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez earlier said that he also invited President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio, among other high ranking government officials.*
