The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported another significant accomplishment in the campaign against illegal drugs, following the confiscation of almost P1 million worth of suspected shabu from an arrested drug personality.
The apprehension of a certain Ati, 27, by the operatives of the BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit on May 8 at Purok Kahirup in Barangay Singcang Airport, Bacolod City, led to the recovery of about 145 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P986,000.
A day earlier, BCPO DEU operatives also seized an estimated 70 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P476,000, from a drug suspect identified as Remwil Sellado, alias Hapon, who is classified by the police as a High Value Individual drug personality.
The street price of shabu is currently at around P10,000 per gram, according to the Bacolod City Police Office.*
