Policemen seized about P4.5 million of suspected shabu from four arrested drug suspects, including three women, within a period of 48 hours of police operations in Bacolod City, from January 17 to 18.
A 50-year-old widow, whose identity was withheld by the police, was arrested Saturday early morning during a buy bust operation at Purok Rosal in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
Her apprehension yielded about 250 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1.7 million.
Two drug suspects, tagged by the police as high value individual drug personalities, were also nabbed by the police in another buy bust operation on Jan.17 at Purok Laurel in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
The apprehension of alias Maricar, 39, and alias Jessa, 36, by the BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit also resulted in the confiscation of an estimated 300 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P2,040,000
On the same day, the police also seized about 115 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P782,000, from another high value individual drug personality in Brgy. Handumanan, Bacolod City.
All of the four arrested drug suspects are presently locked up in jail.
Five more drug suspects, including a businessman, were also nabbed by the police, in a series of buy bust operations on Saturday, in the cities of Silay and La Carlota, and Valladolid and San Enrique, all in Negros Occidental, which yielded about 16 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P112,614.*
