The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) added another high-value individual to their haul and in the process seized an estimated value of P476,000 suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation late Monday night.
The operation, carried out by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) along Buri Road in Barangay Mandalagan at 10:18 p.m., resulted in the apprehension of a 39-year-old suspect identified only as alias ‘Edgar’, a resident of Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Authorities confiscated approximately 70 grams of the illegal substance from the suspect.
The seized drugs have been transported to the BCPO Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
The arrested HVI is currently detained and is facing serious charges for the violation of Sections 5 (Sale) and 11 (Possession) of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
