The arrest of five more drug suspects in separate buy bust operations in Bacolod City, on July 27 and 28, yielded more than P2.2M worth of suspected shabu.
PLt. Rosalino Pugoy, Jr., of the Special Operations Unit 6, Drug Enforcement Group with Police Major Joery Puerto, Police Station 8 (PS8) commander arrested Ramon Vertudes Jr, 31, at Purok Villa Baradas, Brgy Alijis, in a buy-bust operation at 12:15 AM, yesterday.
Seized from Vertudes’ possession were one medium knot tied transparent plastic containing suspected shabu used as a buy-bust item in exchange for P1,000 with serial no. KQ349909 on top of 109 pieces of P1,000 bill boodle money, one medium knot tied transparent plastic suspected shabu seized in his possession, 21 pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, and one sling bag.
The confiscated suspected shabu were estimated to weigh 205 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P 1,394,000.00.
PLt. Liberty Indiape, deputy spokesperson of the Bacolod City Police Office, reported that about 110 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P748,000 and P1,000 in marked money, were recovered yesterday during the arrest of a drug suspect identified as John Mark Melana, at Purok Kahirup in Brgy. Singcang Airport, Bacolod City.
Melana, 21, of Purok Torre, Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, was categorized by the police as a Street Level Individual drug personality.
A joint operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Police Station 2 on July 27 at Purok Dughan in Brgy. 10, Bacolod City, also led to the seizure of an estimated 12 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P95,200.
Nabbed during the buy bust operations were Evelyn Dalida, James Michael Mabuhay, Harold Collano and Randy Espinosa, leading to the confiscation by authorities of assorted shabu paraphernalia and P500 in marked money.
On July 25, an estimated 80 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P544,000 was also recovered by the police from three arrested drugs suspect at Purok Sigay in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.* with reports from YCN
