The Bacolod City Police Office reported the confiscation of about 689.8 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P4,699,040, from four arrested drug suspects, during the period of December 11 and 12.
A BCPO report said the buy bust operation on Dec. 12 led to the apprehension of a certain Faisal, classified as a High Value Individual drug personality, and the confiscation of 675 grams of suspected shabu worth P4,590,000 in Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City.
Three anti-drug operations in the barangays of Felisa, Banago, and Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, also yielded about 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P109,000, following the arrest of three drug suspects on Dec. 11.
In a statement, PCol. Joeresty Coronica, director of the Bacolod City Police Office, attributed the successful anti-drug campaign to BCPO’s intelligence-driven operations.
On Dec. 14, eight drug suspects were also arrested by the police in cities of Talisay and Silay, as well as municipalities of Ilog, Hinigaran, Pontevedra, San Enrique and Murcia, all in Negros Occidental.
The series of ant-drug operations yielded about 40 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P241,000.*
