The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), through its City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), arrested three individuals and confiscated suspected shabu with an estimated value of P816,000 in an anti-illegal drugs operation early Friday morning.
The buy-bust operation was conducted at around 12:45 a.m., at Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation seaport, Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City.
CDEU operatives arrested the three suspects and recovered more or less 120 grams of the suspected illegal substance.
The arrested individuals were identified by their aliases as ‘Dionelo,’ 21, male, a resident of Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City; ‘Michael,’ 32, male, a resident of Brgy. Don Salvador Benedicto, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental; and ‘Stan,’ 27, male, resident of Brgy. E. Lopez, Silay City.
The suspects will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“The BCPO reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the intensified campaign against illegal drugs, vowing to continue strengthening its proactive operations to ensure a safer Bacolod City,” police said in a statement.*
