In celebration of the Bureau of Fire Protection’s 33rd Founding Anniversary, the Bacolod City Fire Station successfully conducted the “Hope of Life” bloodletting activity at its headquarters along San Juan Street, Bacolod City on August 21, a press release from the BFP Bacolod said.
FSupt. Jenny Mae Masip, Bacolod City Fire Marshal, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the fruitful partnership with Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, led by Dr. Estrella Ovy Degala and her team, for spearheading this life-saving initiative.
Masip also extended her appreciation to all their partners and the organizations who supported this cause, as well as to their Bacolod City firefighters who selflessly donated their blood. With the alarming rise in dengue cases and other emergencies in the city, this effort comes at a crucial time when every drop would count.
Masip thanked everyone who took part in making this event a success. “Together, we continue to serve and protect our community, ensuring hope and life for all.”*
