Fire Chief Supt. Jerry Candido, regional director of the Bureau of Fire Protection 6, graced the blessing and inauguration ceremony of the Dental Clinic for the Province of Negros Occidental yesterday at the Bacolod City Fire Station.
A consecrated mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Senior Supt. Randy Baluso, Chaplain Services head of BFP-National headquarters.
F/Supt. Kim Celisio, acting Provincial Fire Director of BFP Neg. Occ., welcomed everyone who attended the event while Silay City Fire Marshal FSInsp. Jovelyn Zamar gave her message as the Regional Chief of Dental Services.
“This Dental Clinic will serve the BFP officers and personnel as well as their immediate family members”, Candido said.
The event was also attended by all the City and Municipal fire marshals in Negros Occidental together with the Office of the Provincial Fire director personnel and Bacolod City Firefighters.
Meanwhile, the storage area of a house in Purok Masinadyahon, Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City was razed by fire that started at about 6:17 a.m. yesterday.
The Bureau of Fire Protection- Bacolod estimated the cost of damage to properties at about P50,000. The cause of fire is still being investigated.
The BFP identified the fire victim as Edgardo Allan Pascual Alib. The fire was put out by responding firemen at about 6:31 a.m. yesterday.*
