Big Bad Wolf book sale returns to Bacolod

Big Bad Wolf will be returning to SM City Bacolod from September 20 to 29, as part of its ongoing campaign to onboard 1 million new readers.

Book enthusiasts and casual readers alike can browse through a selection of over two million titles, all available at highly discounted prices. This will also be the first time local publishers will be joining the book sale event.

The Big Bad Wolf Bacolod Book Sale offers the perfect opportunity for readers of all ages to find something that piques their interest as it features a wide range of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, and educational titles. It is open during mall hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Swedish furnishing brand, IKEA, is also heading to the Bacolod book sale, to give attendees a special, cozy setup where they can rest, and a chance to win over P50,000 worth of furnishings.

Big Bad Wolf Philippines managing partner Carol Chuaying, said Bacolod has such a vibrant community, and they are absolutely delighted to be coming back.

“We are dedicated and very passionate about our mission to promote literacy, making reading accessible to everyone. The Bacolod book sale allows us to continue doing that. We hope to continue inspiring a new generation of readers and contribute to the growth of literacy in the Philippines,” she said.

Chuayung emphasized the importance of access to reading.  She said “We remain steadfast in our belief that reading is a fundamental skill that opens doors to empathy, knowledge, creativity and opportunity.” She added, “Our goal of reaching 1 million new readers is not just about figures; it’s about changing lives through the power of books. We are excited to continue our journey in Bacolod, and we look forward to seeking the community come together to celebrate reading.”*
