The Bacolod City Police Office was cited by the Police Regional Office 6 as among the biggest contributors in a special week-long simultaneous anti-criminality operation dubbed as “Birada Semana,” which ran from March 13 to 19, and yielded an estimated P7.2 million worth of suspected shabu.
The Iloilo City Police Office shared the top spot with BCPO in the weeklong anti-drug accomplishments.
In the same period, 77 drug personalities were arrested in 59 police operations, that led to the confiscation of 1.06 kilos of suspected shabu with a market value of P7,269,452, the report added.
On the other hand, four more drug suspects have been accounted for by the police, following their arrests on March 20 in separate buy bust operations in Negros Occidental.
Nabbed were John Felix Casalda in Silay City, Jenny Filone in Bago City, Rodmel Chavez in EB Magalona and Aladino Toledo Jr. in Victorias City.
The apprehension of the four drug suspects yielded an estimated 15 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P100,000, assorted shabu paraphernalia, and a .38 caliber revolver.
