Business permit renewal and the Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) started yesterday at the 4th floor of the Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Bacolod City and will run until January 20.

Permits and Licensing Division head Stela Rose Rayos yesterday said taxpayers can start processing their business permits from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays starting January 3 to 20 unless extended by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod.

Rayos said Mayor Evelio Leonardia has issued an executive order directing all 61 barangays in Bacolod City to participate in the BOSS that is participated in by all government offices and agencies involved in the processing of clearances for the renewal of business permits.

The Bacolod Sanggunian usually extends the BOSS for another month to give business establishments more time to renew their business permits, she said.

They accept walk-in clients and will try to accommodate as many taxpayers as they can handle. They have also met with telecommunication companies who assured the mayor and the people of Bacolod that they are doing their best to fix their internet service the soonest possible time, Rayos said.

Their total collection for 2021 is about P22,267, she said.

Rayos said they have decided to hold the BOSS in a mall because it is more comfortable and convenient for taxpayers to process their business permits based on feedback they have received.
