The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – Negros Island Region (BJMP-NIR) reaffirmed its commitment to a drug-free workplace after all 86 personnel that were subjected to a recent drug testing activity yielded negative results last February 10.
The screening targeted the region’s top brass and essential staff, including the Command Group, Division Chiefs, Section Heads, Jail Wardens, Acting Wardens, and Officers-in-Charge.
Regional Office personnel also underwent the procedure.
The activity was supervised by nurses from the Health Service Division, who managed the collection and processing of samples according to strict standard protocols.
BJMP-NIR said the process was carried out smoothly with full cooperation from all participants, and no resistance or procedural issues were encountered.
They added that the negative result reflects the bureau’s unwavering dedication to integrity, professionalism, and accountability in public service.*
