Six houses were razed by fire and another was destroyed at Purok Sawmill 3, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City noontime yesterday.
The damage caused by the fire that started at about 12:39 p.m. in the residence of Jenny Castillo, 55, particularly in the bedroom of Renie Castillo, was estimated by the Bureau of Fire Protection at about P225,000.
The BFP reports said Romeo Blanco Sr., 75, sustained an abrasion on the sole of his left foot as a result of the incident. He together with Jenny Castillo, Jona Castillo, 49, and Jesmar Castillo, 23 were reported to have experienced elevated blood pressure.
The fire was placed under control at about 1:19 p.m. and the matter is still being investigated.*
