Five new routes were proposed, coming from Homesite, Fortune Towne, Alijis, Eroreco, Shopping-La Salle.

The council meeting, held at the conference room of the Mayor’s Office at 9 a.m. yesterday was attended by Patrick Lacson, BTAO head; Joshua Gaquit of LTFRB; Ayala Malls manager Sharon Ciocon; Jinky Aguinaldo of Ayala Land; Police Maj. Ramen Sarona, BCPO; Jun Asis of SSTONE; Shirley Mapa of TODA; Genoe Percival of TODA-SAO; Samuel Herrera – City Planning; Julio Belleza – City Engineering Office; Rodel Parcon – CMO; and Carmela Gamboa -CMO-PIO.

Lacson commenced the session with a motion recommending the opening of the five routes to serve daily commuters to the said area. With the council’s approval, a timeline for the test run was established.

Ciocon, mall manager for Ayala Malls Capitol Central, also proposed an interim terminal be opened for all the operators that will ply the new routes. The terminal will be located along San Juan Road, right beside the mall’s parking area.

As soon as the resolution gets the SP’s approval, Mayor Benitez wants to start the test run by the first quarter of December.*
