Buglas eyes Mundial de Futbol crown

A free kick from defensive third in the 7th minute by Anaiah Viktoria Sotto of the Philippine national team Under 17 and Kaya Football Club, went straight through the goal keeper of Buglas Filipinas Girls Under 13, ending their championship campaign, settling for the 1st runner-up trophy of the Philtech National Soccer Cup on May 26 to 27, at the University of Makati Artificial Turf.

“We will come back stronger and smarter next season…,” said head coach Luis Christian Clauor, as they now prepare for the final round of the Mundial de Futbol on July 15-20, at Megaworld, The Upper East soccer park in Bacolod City.

Meanwhile, the Under 17 girls also settled for the silver, after a 1-0 scoreline against Kaya FC, headed by Coach Alisha Del Campo, a member of the Philippine Women’s National Team.

In pursuant to C.O. No. 08-15-744 series of 2015 or “The City of Bacolod Football Week,” also marking the 17th year of Gardenville United Football Club, Inc., Mundial de Futbol qualified teams, who are promoted to the finals of the 9-a-side tournament, sanctioned by Negros Occidental Regional Football Association, are Mandirigma FC, Montevista ES, Vista Alegre ES, Maranatha Centurions, Trinity Christian School, Rizal ES Football, and 4 more slots, which is up for grabs between NIR, Cebu, Iloilo, Manila, and ASEAN Clubs for the Under 12 Mixed Category.

Available for Girls Under 14 are 5 slots, where Maranatha Christian College, Trinity Christian School, and Buglas Filipinas will duke it out.*
