The Philippine Football Federation, the country’s governing body under FIFA and AFC, has been around since 1907. PFF licensing guidelines allowed community-based soccer organizations, like the hosting of the grassroots festival of football together with JFA, steered the establishment of competitive soccer teams locally.
Pursuant to C.O. No. 08-15-744 under the banner “Better Soccer More Fun” Buglas Futbol Regional Association Inc. has gained traction in international football stints, such as earning matches against Lion City (Singapore) and Football South (Australia) in the 13th Edition of SingaCup, to be held in Singapore on November 6-13.
The launching of the COPA ABB premier football championship at Panaad Football Stadium also qualified Buglas Filipinas Girls U14 for nomination in Kanga Football Cup, Canberra, Australia, in July 2024.
“It’s not about the destination, it is about the journey of the team and all they went through…the championship title is but a bonus,” said head coach and BFRAI President Luis Christian Clauor during his 28th birthday on October 24.
The Negrense homegrown talents will proudly represent their respective schools, namely USLS-IS, SSA-B, TCS-B , Silliman University, CSTR, NOHS, JJ Gonzaga, Maranatha Christian Academy, Escalante NHS, and Global Online School. They will also be joined by the BFRAI coaching staff and administration, along with Davao Crocs and Forza FC for the Philippine delegation.*
