BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

It’s back to normal operations for the Vallacar Transit Inc. north and south bus terminals in Bacolod City effective today, VTI media relations officer Jade Seballos announced yesterday.

This was after Bacolod City was placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from October 1 to 31, as stipulated in the executive order issued by Mayor Evelio Leonardia.

Seballos, however, reminded the riding public to observe minimum health protocols, as the management will also continue to implement the 50 percent passenger capacity for each bus.

The face mask and shield policy for passengers will remain in effect, she added.

The first trips from the Bacolod City terminals will start at 5 a.m., Seballos said.

The last trip from the Bacolod north terminal for San Carlos City-bound passengers will be at 4:30 p.m. Escalante City – 7 p.m. and Victorias City at 8 p.m., she said.

The last trip for Bacolod south terminal Hinobaan-bound passengers will be at 4 p.m., Kabankalan City – 7 p.m. and La Carlota City at 8 p.m., she added.

The last trip for San Carlos City via Salvador Benedicto will be at 5 p.m., Seballos also said.

However, they will adjust the time departure if there is a big volume of passengers and it will also depend on the imposition of curfew hours in certain localities, she added.

During the three-week imposition of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine in Bacolod City, which ended Sept. 30, Ceres Liner passenger buses established pick up points for passengers at the boundary of Talisay-Bacolod in the north, and the Bago-Bacolod boundary in the south.*
