Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit scored another successful buy bust operation yesterday that resulted in the confiscation of about half a kilo of suspected shabu with a market value of P3.4 million, at Purok Katilingban in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City.
The buy-bust operation led to the arrest of three drug suspects identified by the police as Sandy Romero, Sunny Boy Guino-ohan and Rudy Talabon, all residents of the place, disclosed by PLt. Liberty Indiape, deputy spokesperson of the Bacolod City Police Office.
PLt. Jovem Mogato, CDEU chief of the Bacolod City Police Office, said that Romero is using his food delivery rider job as a front for his illegal drug transactions.
Based on their monitoring, Mogato added that the group of Romero reportedly sourced their supply of illegal drugs from outside Western Visayas.
He added that Romero is capable of selling at least two kilos of shabu a month, and usually gets his supply in bulk.
Romero has been categorized by CDEU as a High Level Individual drug personality.*
