Mayor Salvador Escalante has attributed the improvement of ranking competitiveness of Cadiz City, among component cities in the country, to its “sound economic foundation.”
Escalante disclosed that Cadiz improved from 81st place in 2022 to 55th place this year, in the latest competitiveness ranking of component cities in the Philippines.
The mayor said that his administration is committed “to sustain the approach we are doing and the high performance rating of the city.”
“The improved ranking of Cadiz is an indication that the city has a sound economic foundation and we are ready to host infrastructure and development projects and programs that will help the economy,” Escalante further said.
He cited the proposed 100 megawatts floating solar farm project that will be located at a fishpond in Brgy. Tinampaan, Cadiz City, owned by the Montelibano family.
It will be the first floating solar farm in Visayas and Mindanao, according to Escalante.*
