The Tourism and Cultural Division under the office of the City Mayor of Cadiz held its Pamaskwa sa Cadiznon Christmas Lantern Making Contest, which gathered 18 entries.
The winners were announced Saturday night at the Cadiz City Hall, after the judging of entries.
Barangay Tinampa-an was declared first place and received 15,000 in cash prize. Barangay Zone 1 was second place and received 12,000 in cash prize. Barangay Celestino Villacin was third place and received 10,000 in cash prize. Philippine Normal University- Visayas was fourth place and received 8,000 in cash prize, and Barangay Zone 2 was fifth place and received 5,000 in cash prize.
The 10 consolation prize winners were Barangay Tiglawigan, Barangay Cabahug, Barangay Andres Bonifacio, Banqueronan National High School, Sicaba National High School, Barangay Magsaysay, Villacin National High School, Barangay Zone 4, Barangay Cadiz Viejo, and Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial National High School.
Ten entries participated in the Christmas Belen Making Contest, where Barangay Tinampa-an was awarded first place and received 15,000 in cash prize, Barangay Sicaba was second place and received 12,000 in cash prize, and Barangay Cadiz Viejo was third place and received 8,000 in cash prize.
The five consolation prize winners Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial National High School, Barangay Andres Bonifacio, Barangay Zone 4, Barangay Zone 2, and Villacin National High School.*
