A Cadiznon facing criminal charges for reportedly killing a police officer was arrested Monday at Brgy. Luna.
PLt. Gina M. Fernandez, deputy police chief, in an interview with YCN stated that Hernando Soledad Jr., 38, of Crossing Segundo Diez, Brgy. Luna was apprehended through an Order of Arrest for charges of homicide.
Soledad was reportedly involved in the stabbing to death of Police Officer 1 Celso Nabos in an altercation that happened sometime in 2006.
Fernandez related that the officer who at that time was resting at home was called to respond to a commotion that took place during a town fiesta. He was pacifying an altercation when stabbed multiple times by Soledad.
The suspect is now temporarily detained at Cadiz City Police Station and will be transferred to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) for custody.*YCN
