A member of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) and 10 other drug suspects were arrested by the police in separate buy bust operations on September 9 in Negros Occidental, also yielding an estimated P280,000 worth of suspected shabu, and an unlicensed firearm.
CAFGU member Ryan Domingo was arrested by the police during a buy bust operation on Sept. 9 at New Stockyard in Brgy. Inolingan, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of Domingo, a 40-year-old CAFGU member assigned at the Hanuban detachment in Brgy. Sag-ang, La Castellana, yielded an estimated 15 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P102,000, and P500 in marked money.
Another buy bust operation at Ylagan Street in Brgy. 6, San Carlos City, also led to the discovery and dismantling of an alleged drug den, and the apprehension of Amado Palabrica, Dennis Caldoza, Lenbert Destajo, Jofel Francisco, and a minor.
Palabrica was alleged by the police to be the one maintaining the drug den, police said.
The joint operation of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the local police also resulted to the confiscation of 12 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P81,600.
Four other drug suspects were also accounted for by the police in series of buy bust operations in the cities of Cadiz, Himamaylan, and La Carlota, Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of four drug suspects, identified by the police as Arnold Azucena, JD Christopher Chang, Joshua Rey Ore, and Michael Arcaño, yielded a total of 16 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P103,800.
A caliber .22 magnum revolver with three ammunition was also recovered by the police from Arcaño.*
