More than 30 pump boats joined the grand fluvial parade on Saturday morning from Barangay Lemery towards the seaport in Barangay Lo-ok, carrying the images of Saints Peter and Paul, the patron saints of Calatrava town in Negros Occidental, during the inauguration of its month-long Lilas Pandan Centennial Festival 2024 and centennial fiesta celebration.

The fluvial parade was followed by a procession on foot, from Brgy. Lo-ok port going to the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Church where Rev. Fr. Dino Pepito presided over a holy mass.

Calatrava Mayor Marilyn Era was joined by municipal officials and employees at the religious event.

In the afternoon, a Zumbathon Neon paint party was held at the Menchaca Park which was participated by zumba enthusiasts. This was followed by the opening salvo program, which was sponsored by the municipal tourism office.
