A call center agent sustained wounds after being stabbed yesterday morning inside a Bacolod City bar following a heated argument with another patron, according to Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).
The incident occurred at approximately 12:55 a.m. on Monday, at a cafe and bar located along Calamba Street, Barangay 1, Bacolod City.
The victim, identified only as alias ‘Mike,’ is a male call center agent and resident of Barangay Banago. He sustained stab wounds to his lips and back.
Meanwhile, the suspect is identified as alias ‘Rofel,’ a 22-year-old male resident of Barangay Villamonte.
Initial investigation revealed that ‘Mike’ and ‘Rofel’ were involved in a heated argument inside the establishment, which escalated and then the suspect allegedly produced a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim.
The bar’s bouncer immediately subdued and arrested the suspect.
Alias Mike was immediately rushed by his co-workers to Riverside Medical Center for urgent medical treatment.
His current condition has not been detailed by authorities.
The arrested suspect was subsequently turned over to the responding police officers.
He is now in the custody of Police Station 2 for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges related to the incident.*
