To further enhance its emergency medical responsibilities, the provincial government of Negros Occidental has deployed its five 911 Emergency Response Teams in strategic locations across the province.
Each team is equipped with a Level 1 ambulance and staffed by five Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs), ensuring faster access to life-saving services for residents in times of emergency, disclosed Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II.
The teams are stationed in the local government units (LGUs) of Hinigaran, Murcia, Pulupandan, Sagay City, and Manapla.
Diaz advised Negrenses to proceed directly to the designated emergency hubs if they are located nearby, while those requiring urgent medical assistance from more distant locations are encouraged to dial 911 for immediate response.
Our teams can provide basic life support and first aid. More importantly, they can refer and transport you to the nearest and most adequate hospital registered and integrated under our One Hospital Command (OHC), he added.
Diaz further said that the provincial government under the leadership of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson are committed to providing accessible and reliable emergency assistance to all Negrenses
“No Negrense should be left on the streets without emergency assistance,” he stressed.*
