The emergency response of the Negros Occidental provincial government got a boost following the acquisition of six ambulances.
In a statement, the provincial government said the six ambulances will be distributed to local government units, to support hospitals and medical emergencies.
The provincial government also purchased one heavy equipment, a backhoe, for use in clearing operations during disasters, and for utilization in infrastructure projects.
Five golf carts were also purchased to enhance mobility and services at the provincial government–managed Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary in Murcia.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the blessing ceremony for the newly acquired vehicles and equipment on Tuesday at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City. He was joined by Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz and Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa.*
