As Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson starts his second term as the provincial chief executive, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz announced yesterday the impending reshuffling of some division chiefs at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City.
Diaz said division chiefs assigned at the Provincial Engineering Office, Office of the Provincial Agriculture, and Provincial Veterinary Office will be affected.
He said the reshuffling is expected to take effect this week, upon issuance of orders by Gov. Lacson.
Diaz also announced the formation of Project Management Teams composed of representatives from various Capitol departments, to closely monitor the implementation of big-ticket projects, including the construction of the new Provincial Administration Center that costs almost P1 billion, as well as the food security program of the provincial government.
He said that the different teams and focal persons will monitor the strict compliance of project specifications, time frame completion, or implement measures, if there is a slippage, on the part of the contractors.
On the other hand, the Capitol employees yesterday started to avail of free shuttle services being offered by the provincial government to help them defray their transportation expenses.
Diaz said vehicles have been deployed at pick up points in Silay City, Murcia and Bago City, to ferry provincial government employees residing in those areas and neighboring places to their work place at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City.
After office hours, they will also be transported back to their respective places of origin, from Monday to Friday.
Asked how long it will last, Diaz said this will be a long term program, as we foresee that the oil crisis is not going to be resolved very soon.*
