The casual and permanent employees of the provincial government of Negros Occidental have been added as beneficiaries of its comprehensive health care program.
In Executive Order No. 23-03, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson disclosed that more than 3,000 Capitol regular and casual employees will be benefit from the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program (NOCHP).
The job order (JO) and contract of service (COS) employees were earlier covered by the NOCHP, based on an earlier executive order issued by Lacson.
Randy Peacita, president of the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE), said they initially consulted with Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II, to also include the regular and casual employees as NOCHP beneficiaries.
Upon the recommendation of Atty. Diaz, Peacita said it was approved by the governor on November 28.
Under the issued EO, the legitimate spouse, children, and dependents of Capitol employees may also avail of NOCHP privileges.
If unutilized by the year ends, casual and regular employees are entitled to a health checkup in any of the participating public provincial government hospitals.*
